Odd Behavior

Let’s talk about our (ok, my) odd behaviors, also (in my case) called neurosis.  Most of us have at least a few odd and unexplainable habits.   For example:

-I have a grandfather clock in my foyer and I hate it when I forget to wind it and it stops completely.  It freaks me out a little.  What do I think will happen?  Will time stand still?

-I can only eat my M&M’s in pairs of matching colors.  What the hell is that all about?  I don’t even know and still my mind makes me do it.

-I need my alarm clock to go off at an even (yes, like an even number) time every morning (thanks Amy).

-My niece freaks out if you split a pole or post (if you are walking with someone and you each go around the opposite sides of the pole).

Actually, I could go on and on.  I have no shortage of crazy or odd things that I do.  After you’ve read this you probably feel pretty normal and you’re thinking how fucked up some people are!  The funny thing is I don’t consider myself superstitious, just a little odd.  Why do we do what we do?  I don’t care what you say; I know you do at least one odd thing too!
