So, I’m watching Hoda and Kathy Lee (who I love, I don’t care what anyone says) and they were talking about a study that said women feel most confident in a bikini in their late 50’s. In a study of 2000 women, six in ten felt they looked good in a bikini – as well as other summer clothes. Of the women surveyed between the ages of 18 and 34, only one in five felt they looked good.
I’m only fifty but my bikini wearing days are way behind me! Where and who are these women? Of my close friends, I have one and only one who still wears a bikini. Even that irritates me because she has four kids and she actually looks quite good in it. I’m comforted by the fact that she is just clearly genetically correct (or that’s what I tell myself ).
Maybe I’m just jealous at these women’s confidence? Who knows? But I do know if you look for me at the pool, I will be the one in the skirt bottom, tankini top and big hat, not a bikini!!
