Well, I’m three weeks into my new job. So far so good. I’m so happy with this new adventure. I’ve learned a few things already:
- My brain works! I simply can’t believe how much I’ve been able to stuff in there so far.
- My commute is worse than I thought. Some afternoons have been almost two hours to get home. Luckily I have the option to work at home on occasion to keep me from the depths of despair.
- I love people! It’s so nice to be back at a big company.
- Workouts, what workouts? I’ve got to find a way to fit these in other than the weekends. (Got up at 5:30 this morning to get one in. I’ll be in bed by 8.)
- Grocery shopping on the weekend sucks.
- All errands on the weekend suck.
- I need more underwear.
- I am too busy to worry about a lot of things that seemed important just weeks ago.
- I am sleeping like a baby in the fetal position at night.
- Three words: Emergency car snacks.
- My kids can handle things without me. (I knew they could and already were but I didn’t want to believe it)
- Steve’s got to step up in the dinner department.
- I can’t do it all and its o.k.
All in all, a great start to a new life.
P.S. I’m available every afternoon for in-depth conversations!
