From experience, I say nope. It will look just the same a week after you clean it up. Just keep the door closed.

I to, am learning how to put blinders on when entering their rooms. Thing is, I have 2 of them! My daughter will put her clean clothes on the floor for a week before she will put them away. My son will just put his dirty clothes on the floor right next to the hamper. If I ask him to clean his room, those clothes will some how mysteriously make their way to the inside of a drawer! I feel your pain!
