It’s summer and I’m waiting for the A/C repair people to come and save me from the inferno that I’m currently living in. This has become a summer ritual: A/C doesn’t cool, call repair people, pump it full freon and hope to eek out another year. Sadly, this is the year it ends and I have to replace the whole big mess of a unit. No more damage to the atmosphere from my perpetual need for freon.
Ok, I have totally digressed; this isn’t even what I was going to write about!!
While waiting for the repair person (politically correct, not repairman) I started manically organizing all kinds of stuff that likely didn’t need organizing. The other members of my household love it (sarcasm) when I get like this. They can’t find anything for weeks afterward. I don’t really care if they like it because I’m so pleased with my results. I’m sure I’ve made everyone’s life easier with the new system.
Did I mention that this is all happening at 7:30 in the morning. Who wakes up like this? What’s wrong with me?

At my house, I call it putzing and I go in circles around the house until I’m done. It feels SOO good!

Ironic that we just talked about this at Lowe’s the other day. Our A/C has been working fine but the never ending job of replacing door knobs, faucets, shower head, towel bars enters day four and I still don’t have the outlet/switch plate covers yet. And yes I too get your organizational bug! I was feeling so over whelmed yesterday with the mess in my living room and dining room – like we even use those rooms, that I told my spouse I felt like I was in a canoe in the middle of the ocean with a toothpick for an oar! So, got those two rooms cleaned up, boxes out to recycling bin, cookbooks back on the shelf and who care what happens to the rest of it! Ahh I can breathe again.
