Inclusion ROCKS.

For years I “assumed” Jack wouldn’t benefit from inclusion.  Well, I assumed wrongly….really wrongly.  Last night was another testament to the dedication of the staff, teachers and students at his middle school.   Jack was invited by his amazing friend Emma C. to play on her basketball team “Swish Cheese” for a PTSA fundraiser.

We had to wait almost an hour but that was cool…Jack just chilled with his people…

And then once the game started…this happened and well,  I bawled.

Inclusion is changing his life.  And ours.  Thank you.  Thank you to everyone who gets it and just treats him and others like him with the same dignity and respect they deserve.

This is possibly the most wonderful blog you have ever posted. It gives me hope for our world. Mostly, it just thrills me for Jack!❤😊

I have been preaching inclusion to my kids for as long as I can remember. For some, it isn’t much; but for others, its everything!! You never know how much you can change a life by simply inviting someone to join you. Thank you for sharing. It touched my heart!!

Very inspirational. My grandson is autistic,. It’s comforting to see and know the kids 💘 one another.
